William E Buffington 10/22/30 - 11/14/2020
Born in Pryor, Oklahoma to Charles and Mary Buffington. Raised with his brother Charles and sister Sadie June. He beat the odds at the young age of 12 and defeated Leukemia at a time of 4% survival rate. He lived 78 years longer than any doctor said he would.
Bill was an active member of the Cherokee Tribe. He studied at Oklahoma A&M and was a founding member of the Theta Xi Fraternity, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Engineering.
He served our country in the Air Force by helping rebuild the buildings throughout England that were destroyed during World War II.
He returned to Oklahoma and began his own business building steel buildings throughout Oklahoma.
He was an award winning member of Toastmasters International, joining and founding many clubs in Tulsa.
Most importantly, he raised 2 boys, Doug and Craig Buffington and is also survived by daughters-in-law Robin and Elizabeth, along with 3 grandchildren: Donna, William and Ashley. He had a love of poetry, reading, music, dancing and more than anything, he loved learning something new.
