William Theo Childs Jr, 70, of Broken Arrow, OK, was joyfully reunited with his beloved wife Gayle in eternal peace on August 11, 2025. Born on July 14, 1955, to William Theo and Mary Sue (Nelms) Childs in Russellville, AR. Bill lived a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
In 1984, Bill found his soulmate, Gayle Lee Chadic, and they married in 1985. Together, they raised three wonderful children: Curtis, Chris, and Morgan. Bill's devotion to his family was boundless, and his gentle kindness and bright smile touched everyone he met.
Bill was preceded in passing by his beloved wife Gayle, who left this world eight months ago, and by his parents, Theo and Mary Sue. He is survived by his son Curtis Webb and wife Nicole, son Christopher Childs and wife Stacey, daughter Morgan Leffingwell and husband Robert, and his dear sister Donna Carr. Bill's greatest pride was his eleven grandchildren-Titus, Noble, and Justice Webb; Alexis Carpenter, Jonathan Mason, and Braydon Childs; Lexus, Carter, Lukas, Harper, and Henslee Leffingwell-and his great-grandchild, Donald Barton. His extended family and countless friends will forever hold his memory close.
Bill's happiest moments were spent cheering for his favorite football teams, enjoying rides on his motorcycle, and spending lake time with his family. Whether sharing stories or watching his grandchildren play, those lake days reflected his love for all his family, near and far.
Above all, Bill's heart was devoted to his cherished Gayle and the joy of being a loving father and doting grandfather. Through any family challenges, his love for his children and grandchildren remained steadfast and unwavering, a legacy that will live on in the warmth of their memories.
In keeping with Gayle's wishes for a celebration of life, we honor Bill in the same joyful spirit. Today, we gather for a heartfelt celebration to cherish his beautiful life and the enduring love he and Gayle shared, now reunited forever.
As it is written in 1 Corinthians 13:13, "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."
