William J. "Rusty" Dempsey, 20, of Tulsa, OK, passed away, Friday, August 5, 1977, at Hillcrest Medical Center, Tulsa, OK. He was born on Saturday, June 15, 1957, in Tulsa, OK, to Garland Young Dempsey and Gaynel Lee (Formby) Dempsey, and was a senior at Will Rogers High School. Rusty and his brother, Otis, were both electrocuted while installing a 40-foot CB antenna. He is survived by his parents; four brothers, Otis Dempsey, David Dempsey, Donnie Dempsey, and Charlie Dempsey; three sisters, Diane Dempsey, Mrs. Hattie Farris, and Mrs. Dorothy Howe; grandmother, Mrs. Rosie Formby of Hominy, OK; a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives; and a lifetime of friends. Rusty will be greatly missed in the days ahead, but his spirit and memories will live on within each of us, because we were privileged to have him in our lives.
