William (Bill) Kirwin, Sr. was born on February 18, 1928 on a farm outside of Billings, OK and died on August 17, 2022. He was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 62 years, Mary Lee; his parents, Vernon and Vera Kirwin; and his sister, Doris Moore. He is survived by his three children: Raelee Mangold (Norman) of Broken Arrow, OK, Bill, Jr. (Karen) of Austin, TX and Tim (Debbie) of Castle Rock, CO. There are five grandchildren: Christy and Kara Mangold (Maria), Lindsay Kirwin, Travis Kirwin (Ashley) and Spencer Kirwin (Rachel) and seven great-grandchildren: Jayden, Tatum, Talen, Grayson, Matty, Zachary and Alia. Bill was a Navy Veteran, graduate from the University of Tulsa, and retired as a teacher and coach at Franklin Elementary and Nathan Hale HS. He said that his time as the Physical Ed teacher at Franklin was the most fun and rewarding time of his career. In retirement, Bill enjoyed golf, travelling with Mary Lee and working as an Ambassador at the Tulsa Airport. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at the Fleming Center at Trinitywoods, 4134 E 31st street. Family burial will be at Floral Haven.
