Obituary

William Braxton Meyberg, 85, passed away on October 15, 2018 at Montereau Retirement Community in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
William is survived by his son James B Meyberg; daughter Mary M. Maxey and her husband Carter W. Maxey; grandchildren Grant W. Maxey and Clinton B. Maxey II.; and sister Ann M. Jordan.
William was born in Richmond, Virginia to Lemuel O. and Phoebe W. Meyberg. William's wife of 56 years was Sara B. Meyberg. His parents and wife all preceded him in death.
William graduated with a degree in Engineering from Virginia Tech. After serving in the Army, he took a job with CITGO Petroleum where he worked for 40 years. He married Sara and lived in Virginia, Illinois and Pennsylvania before moving to Tulsa in 1973. He was active in his community including Habitat for Humanity and Community Food Bank. After retiring, he and Sara enjoyed living part-time in Destin, Florida and traveling Europe.
William will be greatly missed by his family and friends who enjoyed his sense of humor and loyal friendship.
A memorial service, to celebrate the lives of William and Sara, is scheduled in the Coterie Theater at Montereau on October 22, 2018 at 11:00am.
