Obituary

William Don Moore
William Don Moore was born Feb. 11, 1946 in Muskogee, OK. to L.A. and Marie Moore of Wagoner. He passed away on Nov 25, 2016 while in the loving care of Clarehouse.
Don grew up in Wagoner, OK where he developed many lifelong friendships and excelled in football, basketball and track. He was selected to represent Wagoner at OK Boys State upon graduation in 1964. Don was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and ROTC at OU where he received his Masters degree from the School of Pharmacy and later his PhD.
Don and wife Diane enjoyed traveling with close friends to ski the mountains of Colorado and to walk the beaches in Hawaii, Florida, and Cozumel. Closer to home Don loved weekends at area lakes with the family and friends. As an avid Sooner fan, Don looked forward to OU game days but mostly spending time with his closest buddies from the cradle - David, Gary Boog and Jim to relive the Wagoner Bulldog football games and quote the life lessons shared by their beloved Coach Pop Odom !
Don was a 25 year member of Grace Church where he became a sprit-filled Christian spending many hours studying the Bible and listening to his favorite ministries on CD - he practically wore those CDs out! Having a heart for service, he developed a strong relationship with OK Pharmacists Helping Pharmacists and traveled the state assisting other professionals. He enjoyed a 45 year career as a hospital pharmacist retiring in 2015.
Don showed amazing fortitude while battling a grueling 4 year struggle with cancer, yet kept his humor and appreciation for his prayer warriors and caregivers - especially Daneen! Many thanks to Evergreen Hospice and Clarehouse! Don was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Diane Moore; sister Sue Griffiths (Dr. David) of Tulsa, brother Larry of Idaho; mother-in-law Bunny Danner; brother-in-law Dr. Dan Danner (Susan); niece Allison Griffiths and nephew BJ Danner (Jane) all of Tulsa.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Don Moore will be held at Grace Church Chapel 9610 Garnett, BA on Tuesday, Dec. 6th at 2:00 pm.
