William Gilford Neal was born on a farm between Okay and Fort Gibson, (Got their mail in Fort Gibson) Oklahoma June 28, 1919. He died July 18, 2018 at the Claremore Veterans Center, Claremore, Oklahoma.

Preceded in death by his wife Betty Jo Bruner, parents Henry Bert Neal and Josephine (Josie) Ann Gordon and his sister Lillie Marie and brothers Henry Thomas, Arthur Lee, James Roscoe, John Richard, and Bert Allen. Survived by his sisters Josie Ellen of Catoosa and Opal Marie of California; and his children Everett Gilbert of Tulsa, David Leroy of Collinsville, and daughter Kathryn Gail Neal Gray of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.

William married Betty Jo Bruner December 8, 1945 at Coweta, Oklahoma. They made their first home in Dawson, Oklahoma. They raised three children on Erie Avenue between Betty's and Gib's parents.

Retired from W. C. Norris after 42 years. Later, owned Neal Heat Treating, Inc.

The family wishes to especially thank Gib's caregiver, Jana Satterwhite and her associates for their dedication and excellent care during the last years of his life, which truly enriched and brought him much happiness.
