William David O'Brien, 72, of Tulsa, was born November 13,1948, in Houston,TX to George and Mary O'Brien. He passed away from Alzheimer's on Sunday, October 31, 2021.
David was a Vietnam Veteran who served as a radioman in Vietnam, the owner of KDO Professional Services as an Enrolled Agent tax accountant and owned and operated a flea market on 21st & Garnett. He belonged to the Business Exchange Barter Group (BX), and was formerly a member of the Knights of Columbus (St. Thomas More).
Many people will remember David's impish smile and warm greetings, easily making friends and remembering all he met. He was a true gentleman: funny, polite, helpful, and caring.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Karen J. O'Brien, owner of the KanDo Organization LLC; his son, Jeffrey O'Brien and his wife Jennifer of Tia Juana, OK; a stepson, Joel Wright; his brothers, Mike O'Brien and his wife JoAnn; and James O'Brien; as well as his sister, Kathleen O'Brien. David was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Thomas O'Brien.
There will be no service. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2448 E 81st St, Unit 3000, Tulsa, OK 74136
