William "Bill" J. Roff, 83, of Tulsa, OK, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2019. He was born in Wheatland, WY, on Friday, July 17, 1936. Bill was proud to have served with honors in the United States Air Force in the Korean War as a weapons instructor. He was the retired owner of Bill's Aircraft, an aircraft maintenance and flying school, in Tulsa, OK. Bill kept busy after retirement by building and flying large-scale, remote-controlled airplanes, winning many awards. His love of guns and competition, led him to start the Tulsa Gun Club, and his competitive spirit took him to the Oklahoma Trapshooters Hall of Fame, in 2009. He then moved on to gain recognition in competitive cowboy shooting with the Single Action Shooters Association (SASS). Bill is survived by his wife, Virginia M. (Bright) Roff; three daughters, Cindy Sadberry and husband, Allen, Linda Beller and husband, Gerald, and Trish Ashley and husband, Kenney; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a lifetime of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
