Stokes, William 92, passed away on May 26, 2016 in Owasso, OK. He was born on April 5,1924 to William and Ethel ( Stoughton) Stokes in Knoxie, OK. William served in the Armed Forces of the United States and fought in the Korean War. With his honorable service in our country's military he received a Korean Service Medal. Along with serving our country William enjoyed the open road which is why he chose to have a career as a truck driver to see and appreciate his homeland. He enjoyed being a volunteer for the American Red Cross and for Veteran Affairs. In his down time he took interest in old western movies and reading. William's memorial service will take place on Wednesday June 1, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Moore's Eastlawn Chapel.
