Willie "Bill" Clayborn Chisum, 86, died on Wednesday, December 6, 1978, in Tulsa, OK at St. John Medical Center of cardiac arrest. He was born in Texas on October 27, 1892 to John Claiborne Chisum and Martha Jenelle Howell Chisum. Bill was a former Borger, TX pioneer and had lived in Siloam Springs, AR for 25 years. He was a retired construction carpenter.

Bill is survived by his second wife, Susie Anne Rothrock Chisum of the home, (died in 1980); 2 sons, including William Chisum of Borger, TX; 2 daughters; 1 brother; 11 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Edna Lee Price Chisum who died in 1933; 5 brothers, Shelby Herbert Chisum, Ross Chisum, Frank Mathis Chisum, Marshall Lafayette Chisum, Cecil Bryan Chisum; 2 sisters, Agnes Elizabeth Chisum Jasper, Callie Lorene Chisum Stephens; 5 half brothers; John Clifford Chisum, Robert Lee Chisum, William Arthur Chisum, Jefferson Chisum, Hugh Oliver Chisum; and 1 half sister, Emily Luella Chisum Hudson.

Service is 2:00 p.m., Saturday December 9, 1978 at Watson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, AR with interment to follow at Fairmont Cemetery, Gentry AR.
