COOK- Wilma ?Sue?, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed from this life on April 6, 2013 into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, at the age of 81. She was born on August 4, 1931 in Loco, OK.
She graduated from Loco High School. She worked for Haliburton after graduation and married Delbert B. Cook in 1950. They lived in Duncan, Ok; Tulsa, Ok, where they raised their family; Los Angeles, CA; Denver, CO and retired back to Tulsa to enjoy their grandchildren. She was a member of First Baptist Church Tulsa. She volunteered at St. John Hospital, Tulsa Historical Society, and was a Daughter of the American Revolution.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents William Tarver and Almedia Baker and her beloved husband of 62 years, Delbert B. Cook.
She is survived by her daughters Debra and her husband Daniel Grommersch and Carol and her husband Gregory Wallace. She was ?Nana? to her grandson Corbin Wallace, and her granddaughters, Danielle Grommersch and Natalie Wallace. Also, survived by her brother, Tommy Baker and his wife, JoAnn and her sister-in-law, Melba VanHoozer, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 10 A.M. at First Baptist Church in Tulsa, OK under the direction of Moore?s Rosewood Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to the Alzheimer?s Foundation, First Baptist Caring Center, or a charity of your choice. Sue was loved by many and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
