Obituary

Wilma Marie Moore, 91, of Tulsa, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 12, 2013. She was preceded by her husband of 68 years, Rev. Grant H. Moore, PhD; her parents, Isabell and John Strauser; brothers, Fred, Marvin, Charles, and Alvin Strauser; sisters, Monetta Branyord and Beulah Devors; and infant grandsons, Grant and Zachary. Mrs. Moore was a missionary to Guinea, West Africa, in the 1950s and sixties, and employed by the Oral Roberts Evangelistic Association for several years. She was an ordained minister of Open Bible Churches since 1944 and a member of Abiding Harvest United Methodist Church in recent years. She was a devoted wife and a loving, praying mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who will be dearly missed by all.



Surviving are her daughter, Anne Chouteau and husband, Mitch, of Oklahoma City; son Thomas Moore and wife, Sherry, of Guinea (West Africa); and daughter Sally Shelton and husband, James, of Glenpool; grandchildren, DeAnne Foster and husband, Chris, of Oklahoma City; Christine Walsh and husband, David, of Oklahoma City; Thomas Moore II, and wife, Mashele, of Oregon; Michael Moore of California; Scott Moore and wife, Christi, of California; Timothy Moore and wife, Jackie, of Oregon; John Shelton and wife, Grace, of Ireland, Joey Shelton, of Tulsa; Jennifer Foyer and husband, Raymond, of Wisconsin; great-grandchildren, Grant, Jessica, Rebecca, Luke, Aidan, Kaitlyn, Jack, Thomas, Sarah, Samuel, Gloria, Michael, and Issac, along with other relatives and friends.



A service celebrating Mrs. Moore?s life will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2013, at Abiding Harvest United Methodist Church, 105th and Olive, Broken Arrow, with Rev. Chris Buskirk officiating. Interment will follow in Moore Park Cemetery. Family will receive friends Sunday, May 19, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home, 9350 East 51st, Tulsa.
