Wilma Jean (Taylor) Jones, 89, of Tulsa, OK, went to be with her Heavenly Father on January 11, 2019. She was born on August 12, 1929 in Salina, KS, to Percy Asahel (Pat) (AKA Arthur Percy) Taylor and Harriet Hazen (Cook) Taylor Johnson. Wilma was a member of Memorial Drive United Methodist Church, Tulsa, OK, where she taught Sunday School for over 40 years and was active in United Methodist Women for over 50 years. She was a lifetime member of Girl Scouts where Magic Empire Council awarded her the Thanks Badge in 1978 and Thanks Badge II in 1980. She graduated from Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina, KS, and was a member of The Tulsa Iris Society. She had a "green thumb" and enjoyed making her beautiful Irises grow. Wilma loved people and had a kind, generous, giving spirit. She had a steadfast faith, and exemplified grace and love toward everyone and in everything she did. Wilma valued her relationships with family and friends, and took great pride in her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed in the days ahead, but her spirit and memories will live on within each of us because we were privileged to have her in our lives. Wilma is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Emde of Kansas, OK; daughter, Amy Plew and husband, Mike of Owasso, OK; 4 grandchildren, Michael Huven-Moore and wife, Erin of Seattle, WA, Evan Nicole Plew, Griffin Hazen Plew, Owasso, OK, Aaron Thomas and wife, Grayson of Tulsa, OK; a brother, Henry Jerrold Johnson and wife, Kathleen of Theodore, AL; and numerous nieces and nephews and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Jones, Jr.; sister, Frances Louise Taylor; 2 brothers, Arthur Percy (Bud) Taylor and George Asahel Taylor.
