Woodrow Wilson Hutto, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 in Tulsa, OK. He was born December 6, 1919 in Conway, Arkansas to Dr. Joseph A. and Bessie Hutto. He graduated from England High School, attended Arkansas Tech in Russellville and graduated from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas.
He served in the National Guard and he also served in the U.S. Army in the European Theater during World War II. He achieved the rank of Lieutenant and was awarded the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He was also active in the Army Reserve, obtaining the rank of Major.
He married Mary Gorden Williams in Little Rock in 1946 and they had three children.
He became a career employee of Southwestern Bell and his positions led he and his family to Little Rock, Topeka, Wichita, Tulsa, and Oklahoma City. He retired as Division Accounting Manager in 1981.
He was a member of the Masonic Western Star Lodge in Little Rock and Grace United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary Gorden, all of his siblings (Lucille, Jeff, Marie, Joe and Morton), and his grandson, Chad.
He is survived by--His three children: Richard and Sue of Owasso, Bruce and Diane of Georgetown, Texas, and Kim Humphrey of Jenks. Grandchildren: Chase and Jenny Hutto of Temple, Texas, Nicholas Humphrey of Oklahoma City, Kyla Humphrey of Oklahoma City and Natalie Smith of Tulsa. Great grandchildren: Britain Hutto and Carson and Hannah Hutto.
