A beloved daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend, Zury Montserrat Gomez-Ortega, age 26, passed away on June 22, 2020 at PAM Rehabilitation Hospital of Tulsa after a long and courageous battle with lupus. She was born in Veracruz, Mexico on August 29, 1993 to Anna Maria Ortega and Isidro Gomez. She attended the Monticello Arkansas School District where she graduated in 2011.

Zury loved to shop, eat fine cuisines, and play with her niece, Mia. She was funny, outgoing, and always had a positive outlook towards life. We will always remember her laughter and caring personality. Her presence in our lives will be sorely missed.

When you think of Zury, celebrate the good memories that you have of her. Remember that life is short and fragile and should be lived to the fullest, just as she lived her life.

Zury leaves behind her parents and stepmother, Teresita Gomez; one sister, Suamerary Gomez; one niece, Mia Barnhill; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday June 24, 2020 at Moore's Southlawn 9350 E 51st Tulsa, OK 74145.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Seventh-day Adventist Church 1130 S. 131st E. Ave. Tulsa, OK 74145.
